I think this year is the loneliest bday ever. Well, I do get some surprises though haha.. the night of my bday, my lovely housemates (Erni, Naq and Afiq) decided to had a celebration haha.. Got pizza and chicken..lots and lots of chicken.. That was really sweet though that they do that for this humble me.. haha.. Then went to sleep with nothing really special.
Living in the UK, one would thought that my bday would be a blast, maybe visiting to some places and enjoying the day out.. WRONG!! I had to stay home and revise for my semester one exam, and of all days, my paper had to start on the 19th.. Cana tah kan enjoy ni?
Well, it was not that bad though sal Michiyo text me saying that they wanted to skype with me hehe.. I was more surprise that they actually bought me a cake!! ahha.. sedangkan urg bday nya tampat lain.. So, they bought a cake and we celebrated through skype.. U got to love the technology!! We were laughing and beibun as if I was there, instead of miles apart.. Dear sis also recite the doa selamat and all of my beloved sisters cut the cake together. At some point, I can feel tears building up but I decided to hold it in (it was hard).. I got mixed feeling.. I feel sad that I was not there but also happy and thankful that they actually had to go all this trouble to celebrate it with me.. I just found a living prove that no matter how far u are, family bond can never be broken. I wanted to thank my wonderful family who remember this date.. and also to that special someone who also stayed up late (due to the time difference) to chat with me as a birthday gift!
So, what did I get for my birthday? I decided to go crazy on the net haha online shopping!! Got myself a coffee table haha.. of all things and I get a coffee table for my bday!! Its something i've always wanted since I got here.. I dont like to study sitting on a chair coz I got tired easily.. hehe.. I also got some blings for my phone.. Browsing through the items, I was sooooo tempted to get myself the blackberry :P Then i decided that if I get through the first semester (meaning I passed all modules) I will get it for my late bday present PLUS as a "job-well-done" gift for myself, although I had no idea if I will use all the functions provided..
Now, m just taking a short break from all the revisions.. later this morning will be the first paper "Remote Sensing for Earth Observation", the toughest paper of all.. I just wish that i do well for this one. Coming up next on Friday will be the "Global Contemporary Environmental Issue" a 3-hour paper, comprising of FOUR essay questions and lastly on Thursday "Introductory Geographic Information Systems", which I think is the one I can really do well.
After the exam, my cousin will be going off to London with her coursemates.. Its obvious to think that i'll be going with her, but once again, I am totally dissapointed.. After the exam, I have to lock myself in the lab, dealing with the softwares to produce 2 extremely long reports. If it is just report, I can handle it quite well... but this two need to be done with respect to own analysis of satellite images using the software, which I cannot find anywhere on the internet and therefore I have to go to the uni lab.. SUch a hassle..
Well, after the work is done.. Smester 2 is coming ryte up!! NO break at all.. But i'll think of it in a positive way coz the busier I am, the less will I be aware of the time.. ahha.. Once i know it, m going back to Brunei for the holiday!! Yey.. just wish that i dont have any software-related-assignments during those times..
